Hotel Certificate Details

Hotel rooms for free? How do you do it?

We hear this one all the time, so that's why we've put it here first. The simple answer is that many hotels have low occupancy rates during the week. Rather than letting the rooms sit empty, they'd prefer to give them away to incentive promoters like us. We provide vouchers for the rooms to our customers (like you!).That's all there is to it!

What exactly is each hotel stay certificate redeemable for?

Each of our hotel stay certificates is redeemable for a free 3 day, 2 night stay in one of 30
great hotels. No additional purchase is required, and transportation to and from the hotels is up to the consumer.

We estimate the average retail value of each certificate to be over $200.

A deal this great has to come with some restrictions. What are they?

We don't believe in fine print, and are happy to discuss all the details up front. Basic restrictions do apply, but you'll never encounter hidden fees, an un-helpful redemption office, or required timeshare presentations. Basically, we ask that you follow three basic rules to receive your 3 day 2 night hotel stay:
You must check in to the hotel on a weekday.
You must give 60 days notice prior to taking their vacation.
You must pay a registration fee of either $10 or $20, and either state-mandated room taxes of about $9 a night (per room, not per person) or a refundable deposit. No other fees are ever collected.

What hotels do you use?

Because the travel industry is constantly changing, we do not publish a list of available hotels. You don't have to worry about going on a less than superior vacation, however - probably the best way to describe them is that they are hotels that would normally cost you the consumer between $70-139 a night. Typical chains include Marriott, Hampton Inn, Red Roof Inn, Ramada, and other well-known franchises. In Las Vegas and Atlantic City, we work with major casino hotels to provide a mini-suite.

Are you sure no timeshare presentations are involved?

The answer is clear: we do not require any type of sales presentations from customers. No tours, no meetings, business opportunities, or anything similar.

When do the certificates expire?

Currently, the expiration date on all the hotel stay certificates we purchase is about 3-5 months out.

Are there any blackout dates?

Dates near holidays are usually not available. Other than that, you shouldn't have any problems getting the reservation you want.

Can you guarantee that all locations will always be available?

We can't promise that every destination will always be available at all times, but it's rare when one isn't. Our gift certificate vender will work with numerous hotels in each destination, so that if one ever drops out of our program, we have a backup.

How many vacations can I take as your customer?

A maximum of one per year.

Who pays the registration fee?
The $10 or $20 is normally paid by the user of the certificate.

How much are room taxes?

State law usually requires consumers to pay taxes on any stay at a lodging establishment, even if the stay is given away or "comped" by the hotel. You don't have to worry, however - we've made sure that taxes will never be higher than $9 a night. (That's per room, not per person.)

Are there really no other fees?
None at all. No purchase of airline tickets, car rentals, restaurant passes, or anything else is required. We want you to have a fun road trip.
